Genesis
Privacy Policy
The short version
Genesis does not require an account and does not run its own servers. Your game progress is saved only on your device. The game embeds two third-party services — Google AdMob (ads) and RevenueCat (in-app purchases) — and each collects a limited set of data as described below.
What is stored on your device
The game saves your progress locally (the app's local storage on-device), including:
- Levels completed, stars, and best moves.
- Creatures collected and in-game "Genome" currency balance.
- Settings (sound, haptics, reduced motion, high contrast).
- One-time flags for tutorials and story beats already seen.
This data is not tied to your identity and is not sent to us. Clearing the app's data, using "New" from the menu, or uninstalling the app erases it.
Ads (Google AdMob)
Genesis shows optional rewarded ads (you choose to watch one for a reward) and an occasional ad between levels. Ads are served by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK), which can collect device identifiers (including your IDFA, if you allow tracking), coarse location derived from your IP address, and ad-interaction data, to serve and measure ads.
On iOS, the game asks for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before any tracking-linked ad data is used. If you decline, Genesis still works exactly the same and ads still show — they're just less personalized. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services for details on AdMob's data practices.
Purchases (RevenueCat + Apple)
In-app purchases (Genome packs, the Founder's Pack, Pure Genesis) are processed by Apple's App Store and managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, which receives your purchase receipt and an anonymous app-user id to validate purchases and restore them across reinstalls. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment details — those stay with Apple. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy.
What we do NOT do
Children
Genesis is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages, but because it shows ads and offers in-app purchases, it is not part of Apple's Kids Category and uses the same standard ad/IAP experience as the rest of the App Store. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what AdMob and Apple collect as described above.
Changes to this policy
If what the game collects changes — for example when ads move from test to live inventory at general release — we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
